James Stern
Consultant, Facilitator, Executive Coach, and Author


Experience/Background
Jim has over 25 years experience in business and organization development (OD) consulting in diverse industries. He specializes in creating, changing, and merging corporate cultures. And, he is recognized for his expertise in assisting and building high-performance executive and project teams.

Jim has extensive experience as a line-manager and has been successful in management positions ranging from the first-line supervisory level to the executive level. He spent five years with the U.S. Air Force's Leadership and Management Development Center, a part of the Air University where he became an expert in survey-guided OD interventions. Jim works from his offices in Hollywood, Florida, and Reston, Virginia.

Consulting and Facilitating: In addition to his expertise in the behavioral aspects of OD, Jim has in-depth experience in organizational structure issues. He has led OD efforts in productivity improvement, "right sizing," and reorganization/realignment efforts in large organizations.

Coaching: Jim coaches senior and mid-level executives and provides a structured, practical, and results-oriented approach to the coaching experience.

Education/Certification
Jim graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.S. degree in Business Administration. He received his M.S. degree focusing in Organization Development and is ABD in the Human Resources Development doctoral program at the George Washington University in Washington D.C.

Publications/Affiliations/Achievements
Jim holds active memberships in the American Society for Training and Development, the Organization Development Network, and the Capital Area Network for Organizational Excellence. His book, "Corporate Culture/Team Culture," has been featured in USA Today, New York Times, CNBC, Entrepreneur Magazine, INC., and Fortune Magazine. And, the book has been translated and distributed in China. Jim is also a contributing author of "Real World Teambuilding Strategies That Work."
