Doug Kirkpatrick
Executive Coach, Consultant, Business Analyst


Experience/Background
Doug is an executive coach and business process expert. He brings 26 years of entrepreneurial business experience in financial controller and HR executive roles and is an accomplished speaker and trainer. Doug recently served as an effective public official in the area of strategic workforce development. He works with manufacturing enterprises, non-profits and service organizations, and received credit for an enterprise-wide transformation.

Coaching: Doug has coached dozens of leaders at all levels, C-Level to Manager, using instrumented, observational, and reflective coaching methods. He personally designed and implemented a customized 360-degree evaluation system that encompassed over 200 enterprise leaders. His passion is developing strengths-based leadership and high-performance teams.

Consulting and Facilitating: Doug is an expert on HR issues that impact performance, and teaches classes and consults with West Coast HR professionals. Clients value his legal background, coupled with deep expertise in succession planning, strategy, process and risk.

Doug has a B.A., cum laude, in Economics from Pacific Lutheran University, a Doctor of Jurisprudence (J.D.) from Willamette University College of Law, and an executive coach certification. He is certified as a NetTPS© Solutions Provider and Business Process Analyst.

Thought leaders from around the world voted Doug’s presentation to London’s 2003 Global Business Process Forum, “Running an Organization Without Management,” the best case study. Doug works with the Manufacturer’s Council of the Central Valley and the Professional Coaches and Mentors Association, where he serves as marketing co-chairman. He has personally interviewed and written about business leaders around the country regarding best practices, including leaders from W.L. Gore, Nucor Steel, Koch Industries, and Meetup.com.
